Pro Tip: Want to stay under the radar while traveling and keep your van from looking like a camper? Simply mount the thermal mats with the black side facing out – just flip the suction cups. That way, your van stays discreet and well-camouflaged. This works for all mats where the windows are symmetrical formed on both driver and passenger side.
Vans with rear lid (no doors) and with short wheelbase (no long wheelbase)
Since the windshield wiper is positioned off-center on the tailgate, the mat only fits the tailgate perfectly if the grey side faces outwards. If the black side faces outwards, some light shines through next to the windshield wiper motor.
The middle mats are cut to fit models with only one sliding door, so these mats are cut differently in size. If your vehicle has two sliding doors, one mat will slightly overlap at the top and bottom, but the blackout is guaranteed.
Many vehicles have heating wires on the rear window, which can pose a problem for the suction cups to adhere. With additional Velcro and Velcro points you can help here.
California (Beach): vehicle lining is very thick, the side mats are rising above the window more than in other vehicle models.
